Medical Center Director Lavonne Liversage has served more than 17 years in health care leadership positions within the VA. She most recently served as Deputy Network Director of the Rocky Mountain Network - VISN 19, Denver, Colorado. Ms. Liversage holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary, Fargo, ND, and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Chief of Staff
As of February 23, 2014, Dr. Breton M. Weintraub is the new Chief of Staff at the Fargo VA Healthcare System. Dr. Weintraub joined the VA in 2002, assuming ever-increasing leadership responsibilities as the Chief, Primary Care in 2005 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI, and as the Associate Chief of Staff/Service Line Director for Primary Care and Specialty Medicine at the Fargo VAHCS in 2012. Dr. Weintraub completed his MD degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1991, and completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 1994. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of AOA. He completed the Executive Career Field/HCLI program in 2010-2011.

Associate Director for Operations and Resources
Dale DeKrey is the Associate Director for Operations and Resources at the Fargo VA Healthcare System. Prior to this assignment he served as the Chief, Engineering Service at the Fargo VA Healthcare System. Mr. DeKrey began his career at the Fargo VA Healthcare System as a Project Engineer in 1987. He holds a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University.

Associate Director for Patient Care/Nurse Executive
Rodney Gellner was named Associate Director for Patient Care effective July 2017. He obtained his nursing degree from Jamestown College, Jamestown, ND, and his Master’s Degree in Health and Human Services Administration from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Rochester, MN. Gellner has more than 15 years of clinical experience, most recently serving as the Fargo VA HCS’s Associate Chief Nurse for the Extended Care and Rehabilitation Service Line. Gellner has worked at the Fargo VA since 2003.
