Caregiver Support Volunteer In-Home Respite Program provides homebound Veterans with the opportunity to have qualified and trained Volunteers come into their homes and provide a break for their primary caregiver. Compassionate Volunteers are carefully matched with Veterans based on geographic location and common interests. The volunteer providing support will visit once or twice per week for a few hours each visit.
Caregiver Support Volunteers provide companionship for a Veteran and their family and a break for the caregiver.
Caregiver Support Volunteers do not do household chores, provide physical hands-on care, or provide Veteran transportation.
Call Fargo VA Voluntary Service if you’re interested: (701) 239-.3700 extension 3395. A background check, fingerprinting, and TB screen will be completed at the Fargo VA Medical Center.
