The Fargo Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care System will host a 2K “walk and roll” event on May 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the west entrance, 2101 N. Elm, Fargo, ND.  The public is welcome to attend.

The Fargo VA Health Care System event is just one of many 2K walking activities taking place with other VA facilities across the country.  In conjunction with the event, Voluntary Services is willing to accept gifts to be used to carry out VA programs for homeless veterans.  Commonly donated items have been bus tickets/passes, backpacks, duffel bags, laundry detergent, or cash donations. However, there is no requirement for a donation in order to participate. Pre-registration is not required.

“Worksite wellness activities enhance employee engagement and contribute to a more productive and healthy workforce,” said Lavonne Liversage, Director. “Last year, VA’s 2K here at the Fargo VA Health Care System was extremely successful.  We hope to collect more in-kind donations and involve more participants in support of wellness and homeless Veterans.”

For additional information and more event details, please contact the local 2K coordinator, Rachel Buzalsky 701-239-3700 ext. 9-2205.
