The Fargo and Minot HUD VASH case managers, Fargo Community Living Center social worker, as well as Fargo and Minot Housing Authority’s came together to help house a homeless Veteran.

With the efforts of the team, the Veteran was able to maintain a good standing with his previous landlord, explore best possible housing options for the Veteran’s well-being, and secure a lease on an apartment in a rural area before the Veteran was discharged from VA care.

The team also secured transportation for the Veteran’s move and aided him in furnishings for the new apartment. The Veteran was discharged from VA care directly to his new residence, with the landlord there to welcome the Veteran and sign a lease.

What a great success story of what VA employees are doing every day. Making a difference in the life of a veteran!
