The Fargo VA Health Care System will host an Open House from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2013.  The Open House, which will be held on the west lawn of the medical center, will feature a variety of events to familiarize Veterans with the Fargo VA.

The VA welcomes Veterans, family members and the community to join the Open House festivities.  An informational fair will be held during the event and will include booths from Women's Health, Extended Care, Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom, USA Jobs, Vocational Rehabilitation, VA Health & Disability Benefits and much more.  Tours of the medical center will be offered.

The VA plans to host two sessions discussing Veteran eligibility and enrollment procedures.

"The VA has so much to offer, we'd just like to get the word out.  This is an opportunity to introduce Veterans to the VA and expand their knowledge of the services we provide," stated Karinn Davidson, Chief of Voluntary Service at the Fargo VA.

The family friendly event will also include music, food, root beer garden and a farmers market.  A classic car show will be held on VA grounds from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Davidson said, "This is a way for us to say thank you to the heroic men and women who sacrificed so much to preserve the freedoms that we all cherish as Americans."
