The telephone education group, facilitated by teh VA Caregiver Support Line, is open to family caregivers of Veterans of all eras.

There will be a telephone education group focused on strategies to enhance resilience and restore balance to family caretakers of Veterans.

The  session, facilitated by the VA Caregiver Support Line, will take place on May 14th at 9am, with an encore session on May 22nd at 2pm.

“The intent of this event is to give support to family caretakers of Veterans.  These caretakers are critical to the health and wellbeing of Veterans, but it is also important that they are looking out for their own health too.  We want to give the caretakers the tools they need to hopefully enhance this experience and their resiliency,” said Katie Smith, LICSW, Fargo VA social worker.

Participants of the telephone education group will call in and share experiences with other caretakers.  They will also get to opportunity to discuss strategies to find hope in the necessary losses of being a Caregiver.
